Football Fans - whether they are in Norwich or Newcastle, Bristol or Bolton - all care passionately about their club. It is likely that they will share certain interests and spending habits. And they will be of great interest to a wide range of advertisers.
The majority are male, between twenty and fifty, with some disposable income.
And the ones who actually go to a game, rather than watch from their sofas, are the ones who buy the fanzines. Titles written by the fans for the fans, and sold outside the ground.
And unlike any other medium, they are buying something they believe in - unlike satellite TV, national radio, or even the club programme. The fanzine will speak for them, tell them what they want to read, and express their views, sometimes very bluntly.
Any advertiser who buys a page of advertising in a fanzine or a banner on a fanzine website is buying into a world of conviction, passion, and humour.
Which can only have a positive effect on any brand.
